A few weeks ago, Year 1 had a special bike day where they were able to bring in their own bicycle or scooter to school as part of their topic ‘On the Move’. The children rode their bikes around the big patio and then gave them a good wash with soapy bubbles. In the afternoon the children practised their observational skills and drew their bike or scooter by looking carefully at the shapes they could see. But they didn’t stop there! In the week following the children used their drawings as a reference to make their own collages using different materials.
