As you’re all aware on Friday we were fortunate to be visited by Maria Mur Duat from UNICEF Catalunya.
I had the pleasure to accompany Maria around our school to show her how our commitment to the Rights Respecting School had positively impacted on the culture of our school. Our students explained how they interpreted their rights and demonstrated good knowledge of the convention. Our teachers were also able to show how they have embraced the rights of the child through their interesting lessons and assemblies.
Maria and I were also able to sit down and exchange thoughts, ideas and future plans. This was a fantastic opportunity for ISCAT to not only show what we had achieved by way of fundraising but also to learn from Maria who is a great professional with excellent experience.
Whilst we will continue to work towards the rights respecting schools award UK, we hope to bring you some exciting news regarding UNICEF Catalunya. Watch this space!
