Today’s Primary assembly was all about Online Safety.
In Key Stage 1 the children spoke about the importance of staying safe while on the internet and came up with some top tips when using it.
- Always tell an adult you are using the internet
- Never give out your personal information to anybody you do not know
- If you feel unsure about something on the internet, always ask a trusted adult
In Key Stage 2, the children discussed all the reasons why the internet is great and how useful it can be. We also discussed the dangers of it and how important it is not to share information with anyone you don’t know or have never met.
We looked at different scenarios such as people asking where you live or people making hurtful comments and how best to deal with these situations. One easy way to remember is the word SMART:
