This morning, Year 1 went on a walk around la Garriga to observe the local plants and trees. The children discussed what parts of the plants they could recall and talk about what it does to keep the plant alive. We also looked at the leaves of lots of different trees. Comparing deciduous and evergreen trees. The children enjoyed observing the animals and insects that around the different plants. It was an exciting way to learn outside of the classroom!
