This concert has been a Year 3 initiative. They asked Sara (music teacher) if they could share the music they know how to play with the rest of the classmates and school teachers of primary. This was a very nice opportunity to enjoy and share music together, be responsible and prepare the songs, stand in front of a stage and deal with nerves and shame and promote self-esteem.
They dedicated 3 weeks preparing all what we needed: deciding what to dress up that day, what songs could they play, creating singing groups, practicing the songs during Golden time (free time for them), in music and out of the school… They put a lot of effort to make it the best they could.
A week before the concert, year 3 hung up posters around the school hallways in order to announce it. We also prepared the concert program for the big day.
The day of the concert, all listeners received the concert program where they could find who would sing or play, what instruments and what song or music piece.
About the concert, these really amazing musicians played with different instruments and sang amazing songs. Oscar and Roger played the trumpet, Anna and Ailina the piano, Mateo the electric guitar and Artur, Noah, Àlex, Oscar, Aleix, Anna, Ermessenda, Ailina and Vera sang some songs!
The concert was an absolute success and the listeners were very participative and respectful! It was amazing!
