Following in the footsteps of our youngest students, our Year 5 class have explored the magnificent area of Sant Martí de Centelles, arriving by train in line with our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. The students were met by a guide called Ferran.
The day was spent outdoors exploring the forests of Cingles del Bertí. They learned how this area used to be under the sea, and how the rusty red soil was formed from the Iron oxides in the soil. The children found evidence of fossils, and even shell fossils where the sea bed used to be.
There was some challenging climbing, but everyone helped each other, and then we relaxed in the outdoor play area before returning back to school.
