We continue on our journey of making rights for all children everywhere visible. After watching the “Mediterráneo”, Secondary students participated in a seminar which introduced young adults who have lived as refugees and continued their schooling.
They had an inspiring talk from Sara Mohammad who received a scholarship to study medicine. She cares about science and the value of science.
Sara talked at length of her family and said, “it is not easy to leave the country you were born in”. Sara lived in a tent for 2 years, as a refugee in Iraq, escaping harsh realities in Syria. Her school was a big tent. The cold in the winter days made it difficult for the students to complete their education. But she never gave up and is now on her way to achieve her dream career!
