Congratulations to our Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh, Bronze Award participants who took on the mountains and the autumn night temperatures of Montseny to complete their overnight assessed journey. Averaging 15 km per day, the groups worked together to help each other through the tough physical and psychological challenges that come with this kind of activity.
After intensive training sessions with Stepan, UMLA Mountain Leader, the participants showed that they had taken advantage of Stepan´s experience and developed an excellent set of navigational skills.
Tired legs, aching shoulders and a sleepless night, they certainly had, but the memories that they have created together have made every ache worthwhile and an experience that they will remember for many years to come.
We would also like to thank the Duke of Edinburgh team at ISCAT, for supporting the participants throughout.
Fantastic job everyone!
