The play was very interactive and the children had a lot of fun. In this play, the story of Robin Hood is revisited, in order to give the children the feeling that anything is possible and within reach.
An eccentric narrator, a shy Robin Hood, a despiteful sheriff and a high pitched Maria are the 4 characters who come one after the other, superbly played. In addition to the simple English used by the actors (easily understandable although full of humor), the strength of this play was the strong interaction between the characters and the children.
Through dialogues and actions, the children were stimulated during the whole hour. The children were the “Merry men”, or followers of Robin Hood. They had names and were regularly asked questions.
Some of them even got to shoot a fake arrow at the villain at the end of the show! 🏹
Finally, a 10 minute session at the end gave them the opportunity to ask questions. 👏
