Our Year 6 students have had their second taste of secondary school. 🥳
In the first of their 3 scheduled transition mornings, they studied English, Music, Catalan and ICT. In English, the students learnt about language methods. 👏
They explored the difference between literal and figurative language and focused on alliteration and assonance. In order to explain the difference between alliteration and assonance the students reviewed their understanding of consonants, vowels and repetition. 🥰
Later, to demonstrate their understanding of alliteration and assonance, students chose an adjective that creates a repetitive sound next to their names. ✍️
To finish the morning in style, they headed to the patio where they had the opportunity to play football with the secondary students and unsurprisingly, the rising stars on the football team scored a few goals against the secondary team. ⚽️🤩
