This year for Science Day we have focused on flight. Each class was given a different activity to investigate and experiment with how certain things fly. Nursery and Reception were making paper and straw rockets, Year 1 and 2 were making helicopters, Year 3 and 4 were making hoop aeroplanes, Year 5 were making parachutes and Year 6 made rockets launch in to the air with a chemical reaction. Every class had a fantastic time doing their activity and had a chance to show the other classes what they were doing in Assembly. We also had a whole school paper aeroplane competition, where each class competed to see how far their plane could fly. The winner from each class then competed with eachother to find an overall winner. It was a really fun and enjoyable day!
