This week Year 4 having been getting some first hand experience of just what happens when our body is digesting food. Rapidly becoming digestive system experts, they decided to investigate how the stomach acid breaks down our food and moves it onto the small intestine by using orange juice (stomach acid), bread (food) and water (saliva).

It was squishy, messy and an extremely enjoyable activity. We can’t wait for our next science lesson!
